Configuring Android Emulator on Android Studio

2- Installing Android Emulator

When installing Android Studio has an option to install the virtual simulation device (Android Virtual Device or also known as Android Emulator), in case you did not install it, you can install later.
In Android Studio select:
  • Tools/Android/AVD Manager
Here I create a Emulate device Nexus 5 (4.95 ") - This is a common phone device.

3- Resize the Android Emulator

When working with  Android Emulator,  the first discomfort that is simulator screen is too big, it took all the height of the computer screen.

Now, I will guide you how to configure  Android Emulator on  Android Studio  to eliminate the discomfort above.
Select emulator and click edit.

4- Set up the default emulator

When you run Android apps, a window will display prompting you to select the device to run, you want Android Studio automatically run a default emulator, you need a few configurations.
In Android Studio select:
  • Run/Edit Configurations...
